Beer and Hymns

Join Freda Myhrwold and Rainfall – Lee Gilbertson, Duane Johnson, and Michael Forsberg for an evening of singing favorite hymns/songs in St. Anthony Village Central Park. 

We will meet at St Anthony Village Central Park. There is a covered picnic area that we will be sitting under. There are some picnic tables but you may want to bring a lawn chair. There will be no food or beverage provided. If you want, you can bring snacks and non-alcoholic beverage for yourself. There are stairs and a ramp from the parking area to the seating area.

Be sure to tell your family and friends. Bring them along.

We had so much fun at our Hymns in the Park in August that we want another before winter stops us. Join your friends for another song fest in the park.

We have been without our Beer and Hymns gatherings for over a year. Are you ready to join together in song? Well, we are going to meet in August and sing some of our favorite hymns/songs.

We are not able to start a full schedule yet. When that is possible, we will let you know. This time we are having an outdoor event.

As we have continued to monitor and assess the situation regarding the coronavirus over the last few days, we have decided to make the difficult-but we believe faithful and responsible-decision to cancel Beer and Hymns for March 30th.

We are taking this step to be a proactive and responsible community attempting to do our part to “flatten the curve” of transmission and limit the spread of the virus. We believe taking this decisive action today not only allows us to most fully love our neighbor–especially the weakest and most vulnerable members of our community–but also allows us to be supportive partners of our healthcare system by doing what we can to try to prevent it from being overwhelmed. We also believe that the decision to err on the side of caution is called for in these circumstances.

Spread the word to your family and friends and to your church.

The next scheduled Beer and Hymns is June 1, 2020.

The meeting room is on the ground floor with full accessibilities. They have a large parking lot on the North side of the building. Enter directly into the restaurant.

Flaherty’s is very accommodating with room rental being lower than the other facilities. The team is excited to meet in a place as inviting as Flaherty’s.

Announcing: Rainfall is having our fall Coffeehouse Concert this coming Saturday, October 26, 7:00 pm. We would love to see you. Come early so we can visit.

We have good music planned. A few new originals, a few familiar covers, sing-a-longs, a great time! We have had requests to hear Paige again, so we invited her to join us again this year. She is singing a couple solos that are beautiful.

Again this year we are accepting donations to Lutheran Social Service’s Homeless Youth program. They have multiple programs to help homeless youth have a place to sleep, learn life skills, get education, get jobs, and counsel. They have a very good program that works. We are proud to present this program to you.
